ESCRIPTION OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Anyone can participate in the Massage Championship, regardless of their experience.
The massage championship categories are divided into men’s and women’s categories
Massage competitions are held in groups of 6 to 8 participants
From each group, 1 to 3 participants are selected to advance to the finals
Each group competes for 30 minutes.
All contestants will receive a certificate of participation.
Six finalists will receive ranking diplomas
The top three finalists in each/ category will receive a medal
Nominations
Wellness and Spa This includes all services provided in spas and wellness centers focused on beauty and health. Stretching is prohibited. The use of tools (stones, bamboo, cups, etc.) is permitted. Joint mobilization is permitted. Use of the forearm and elbow is permitted. Only silicone cups are permitted; any other cupping is prohibited. The use of silicone cups must be kinetic, not static. ***EXCEPTION: Static cupping may only be used if mobilization is performed simultaneously. Facial techniques are permitted, but for no more than 5 minutes. At least one foot must touch the floor during the performance.
Sports Massage The purpose of sports massage is to release galactic acid from the muscles and promote recovery. Stretching is permitted. Stretching combined with massage techniques increases the competitor’s score. The use of tools is prohibited. At least one foot must touch the floor during the performance.
Health Massage (Therapeutic) The goal of therapeutic massage is to relieve muscle pain. Relaxation techniques negatively impact the participant’s score. Lymphatic massage techniques are prohibited and negatively impact the participant’s score. Stretching is permitted. The use of tools is permitted. These tools may be made of wood, metal, bamboo, etc. The use of tools is optional. The use of silicone cups is permitted. The use of any other cups is prohibited. The use of silicone cups must be kinetic, not static. **EXCEPTION: Cupping may only be static if mobilization is performed simultaneously. At least one foot must touch the floor during the performance.
Facial Massage Buccal techniques are not permitted. Massage should be performed only with the fingers, palms, and forearms. Touching the face with the elbow is not permitted. Hygiene rules must be observed; makeup should always be removed before the procedure. Lymphatic drainage is essential. Various tools (stones, gua sha, etc.) are permitted. Participants are permitted to perform seated. Body shaping. The purpose of body shaping massage is to sculpt body contours, reduce localized fat deposits and swelling, combat cellulite, and improve skin elasticity. This addresses aesthetic changes in the client’s body. • Tools are permitted (blades, bamboo sticks, cupping, gua sha scrapers, etc.) • Only silicone cupping is permitted; any other cupping is prohibited. • The use of silicone cupping must be kinetic, not static. Asian Freestyle Massage /Asia Freestyle: The techniques used in this style are aimed at addressing musculoskeletal issues through a combination of acupressure, movement, and stretching techniques. During the performance, both feet may be off the floor. The patient must be fully clothed or undressed. The use of tools is prohibited. Stretching is permitted. The performance takes place on a mattress or massage table.
4 Hands Freestyle Massage This style is performed by two participants simultaneously. Participants may be of the same or opposite gender. The use of tools is prohibited. Stretching is permitted. One participant may stand on the massage table, provided both feet of the other participant remain on the floor.
Western Massage /Swedish Massage /Swedish Massage The purpose of a Swedish massage is to relax the body of the recipient. The use of tools is prohibited. Stretching is prohibited. Joint mobilization is permitted. Use of the forearm and elbow is permitted. Facial massage techniques are permitted, but for no more than 5 minutes. During the massage, at least one foot must touch the floor. In Swedish massage, when moving from the body to the face, hands must be disinfected with alcohol before touching the face.
Junior Sports Nomination: – Competitors must be 21 years of age or older – Stretching is permitted – Use of tools is prohibited – Facial massage techniques are permitted, but for no more than 5 minutes – At least one foot must touch the floor during the performance – Lymphatic massage techniques are prohibited, as they negatively impact the competitor’s score

Performance guidelines:
All participants present their performances in sequence, with each performance lasting between 3 and 5 minutes Performances are held on a massage table with musical accompaniment

The patient may only wear a swimsuit or special pads

Disqualification criteria:

CHAMPIONSHIP RULES
Estimation
- In the semi-finals, 9 main judges and 4 complementary (additional) judges select 3 participants who advance to the final with an equal number of points.
Judges and evaluation criteria
- Clear adherence to the general rules of the WMF championship
- Ergonomics of the masseur and ergonomics of the client (the client’s body position on the couch).
- General understanding of the performance.
- Uniqueness of the techniques.
- Concentration of the participant and clear execution of the technique in the declared nomination.
- The participant’s ability to create an individual program for each client.
- The combination of the participant’s skill and individual approach.
- The environmental friendliness of the chosen technique. In compliance with the client’s anatomical and physiological characteristics.
- Established master-client contact. Compliance with ethics and deontology. A friendly atmosphere.
- Compliance with rhythm and flow, as well as the master’s ability to immerse themselves in the process, meaning that the master is “merged” with the client.

Clothing
The clothing can be either a massage suit or sportswear. Sportswear (top, tank top, leggings) is allowed.
Each participant can compete either in sportswear or barefoot.
Restrictions
Participants are not allowed to wear anything on their necks, wrists, or fingers.
Contestants must have their hair tied.
In the “Face Massage” category, contestants must wear protective masks.
Contestants should not have long and bright nails.
Contestants should not have bulky jewelry.
Medical clothing with a comfortable fit that allows full movement of the arms and legs is allowed.
In the final, 9 main judges and 4 complementary (additional) judges choose the winners in each category for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
In case of a tie, the judges are asked to vote for the participant again

Requirements for the Championship Judging Panel: Massage experience of 10-15 years or more. Owning a massage school and/or developing their own signature massage technique. Specialists who meet the following mandatory requirements are eligible: Education: A member of the judging panel must have a relevant education: – medical; – pedagogical; – psychological (educational psychologist). Professional Accreditation: A valid professional accreditation (certificate/certificate) confirming the right to practice massage or related medical and wellness services is mandatory. Professional Competence: A judge must have proven competence in massage techniques and the ability to objectively evaluate the quality of their performance. Winning prizes in professional massage competitions, championships, or competitions is mandatory: – Gold medalist; – Silver medalist; – Bronze medalist. – Honorary “Master” badge Supporting documents: All declared qualifications and achievements must be supported by official documents (diplomas, certificates, credentials, diplomas, and awards).
